Wow, that's a hell of a story, buddy. Isn't it an awesome feeling of accomplishment, especially since you really didn't want to do it, saw your truck and actually considered leaving? I find those times, when my head is really not in it, when I do finish the feeling is that much better. Since I battled my mind as well as my body. So men must always notice women, even when they are delirious with fatigue. I guess that's another difference between men and women.

Congratulations for finishing! I wimped out part-way through an x-country race (rain and scary slippery mud)a few years back and I still regret not finishing. For the aches and pains I highly recommend an ibuprofin/arnica cream called IB-Relief. If they don't sell it at your local running store you can order it off their web site.

Congrats on finishing!! Your times are amazingly consistent. Even had a little kick at the end I see. Musta been that spandex covered ass you were drooling over . . .

In the back of my mind, the lazy, tub overflowing, crockpot not-plugging, short bus riding Joe was looking for a way to shave a few minutes off my total time. He had an epiphany in a butchered idiom and shouted, "Eureka, a chimp in time saves nine!" I didn't know what the hell he was talking about but found the word chimp in front of me. I put that Joe back on the bus and sent him for a ride. But he'll come back. He always does.
